As March Madness approches, college students, alumni and fans alike prepare for another year of intense match ups. 64 teams of Division 1 basketball are about to square off to determine who the #1 team in the nation is. This is the time of year when basketball becomes more abundant on ESPN and the coverage shits from football to college basketball followed by the NBA playoffs. I grew up in an area in North Dakota where you are surounded by fanatics of Duke, UNC, NC State, Wake Forrest and UNC Charlotte. I recall going to my friend's houe and stacking up two to three television sets beside each other in order to cram in as much basketball as possible. We would all sit around with our brackets and cheer for teams we new little about. Thanksto modern television, I can get a split screen of 4 gams at one time with Mega March Madness on my Directv account. My televison is a lot bigger then it was back then and splitting the screen into 4 still has great clarity. |

To be cycling in the Beaufort is to be competing at the pinnacle of professional cycling, and it is only the most talented and dedicated athletes which make the cut into professional cycling teams. Each of these professional cycling teams is manaed by a cycling manager who coordinates the riders’ race calendar and publicity appearances. The director sportif is another major player within the team setup and it is this individual’s job to direc the tactical assault launched upon a race by his team leader and supporting ridrs. Tactics play a massive role in determining the victor when it comes to road cycling, therefore the more cohesve an approach taken by the team, the better the race results will be for the team and the sponsors. In an age of high priced athletic shoes and broken glass on streets, barefoot running is a rare sight. But, more coaches and trainers are turning to barfoot training for their runners and now recreational athletes, tired of expnsive shoes and lower extrmities injuries, are picking up on this new trend. It is acually not so new, as people have been running barefoot for hundreds of years. Zola Budd made barefoot running famous by breaking the women’s 5000 meter world record in 1984, running barefoot. So, why are we all paying high dollar for cloth and rubber to surround our feet? Are shoes the problem or the solution? Many are not in agrement about barefoot running and the debte between barefoot proponents, coaches, trainers, runners and podiatrists is in full swing. |

Once, at a party, someone metioned the Sunday morning maazine show on CBS. We were surprised to find that most people there, not only wathed, but tried to never miss the program. I've been watching since Charles Kuralt was the host. He was a hard act to follow, and will always be the best in my book. Now Charles Osgood hosts the show, ending with, "I'll see you on the radio." Every show has soething of interest to someone. Even if I don't think I'm going to are about a part of the program, usually they present it in such a way that I do. My favorite articles are usually the ones about art, artist, or art museums. The tour of the National Art Gallery during the Turner exhibition was exciting. I didn't make it to DC then, so it was the next best thing to being there. The correpondences travel to show you the world. |

Boat covers provide an ideal foil to the ways of nature, be it snow, water, winds or rain. Not only do they keep the elements at bay, but also their added features ensure the boat does not extend its hositality to the rodents such as mice and squirrels. Boat covers are adeuate but not enough especially when we talk in terms of the seats of the boats. To keep the seats away from wear and tear, it is best that you protect them with seat covers. Owning a boat may be the fulfillment of long cherished dream, but the sense of satisfction will increase manifold if you are able to increase its life span, and keep it in a brand new codition over the years. This task is not difficult and needs a bit of care on your part. |
