: I have plenty too but not for show but to drink, few people can tell the : difference between $100 cognac to $30 ones, and those that can tell the : difference would like my $30 ones better... this is the secret, psst! Some have the audacity to pour tea into the clear and empty ones, too! Ah, but 'cherry' buddy of mine sum taym back found out in Kowloon once after he bought round after round for his clients, whose tastes for cognac were quite ... How do I say, discriminating? ... : I will not buy spirits at that price! I drink my liquor and I don't put : it up for SHOW. The most I would spend is $30... for an old cognac or : brandy. One of the things I found interesting when there was when I went to visit relatives, friends, friends of friends of relatives, or acquaintances there is sometimes that big nara wood cabinet stock full of liquor. Not the rock-gut sort but V.S.O.P, 30-year old scotch, Black Label, Blue Label, etc. etc. and even Funtador that the elders find appealing to their pa'late. Some years back I questioned, where did you get all of these? Pasalubong, from OFW kin in Saudi ... Dooti pree ... I think in our culture and IMO, it is a trophy of sorts, in that self-control and indulgence is held in check. And that is a good thing given the inhebriation that seems to swallow a great number of our kababayan doon sa Pinas. - HowDryIYamDom I have plenty too but not for show but to drink, few people can tell the difference between $100 cognac to $30 ones, and those that can tell the difference would like my $30 ones better... this is the secret, psst! You obviously haven't tried the moonshine Pinoys in Saudi Arabia make out of wheat, copper tubing and a caldero. They put the vino in plastic water bottles that they can empty and refill with the vino without breaking the seal. Some have gotten caught by the religious cops and got severe trashings. I used to go out with a girl ten years older that I named Cherry, real name is Scheharazade, Muslim and she likes to drink and smoke them funny weeds. Hiccuping Pig Didn't try, I wouldn't pay $35 for a bottle of whiskey they make.
