Does anyone have any knowledge on how someone could get married underwater?  I have heard of people doing this, but never heard any details.  I am getting married on Bimini in August and would *love* to try to have the ceremony underwater.

I know that they are done in Key Largo, FL at the statue (a Christ statue). they have been done through Ocean Divers and Amy Slates Amory Divers that I know of.  They are conducted by a justice of peace and are pretty neat except for the ocassional other dive charters that happen to be there.  The Statue is also nice because it is shallow so non divers can snorkle to watch the ceremony.  Good Luck! keep blowin' bubbles! Check local laws. In New Zealand, one cannot be married behind closed doors , i.e anyone who wishes to attend or register an _object_ion to the marriage must have that opportunity. I don't know how this stands with SCUBA, but considering some unfortunates may not be permitted to dive, and U/W radio communications for an entire wedding party plus unexpected guests would be extremely expensive, it may not be permitted.
