Great first week of hockey action, although some bad news for me personally. Turns out Comcast can't get me NHL Center Ice on digital cable, because their system isn't set up for it .  Ha.  And now I'm stuck without being able to get a satellite system because my windows face north.  Oh well. Congratulations to Marc-Andre Fleury on what I'm sure will be the first of many National Hockey League wins, and against the Detroit Red Wings and one of the top all-time goaltenders, Dominik Hasek. It's good to hear from a lot of you again - that's one of the things I definitely missed last year.  Some of you asked about my future projects on the Page - this year I plan on getting biographies up for every goaltender that's ever appeared in an NHL or WHA game, plus every goaltender currently playing at the ECHL level or higher.   I plan on having the game data_base_ updated back through 1981-82, which will allow me to start estimating save percentages for that season and all further. It's not as easy as it sounds - the season I'm starting on now (1983-84), I'm having to use the New York Times as my primary source, and they aren't as accurate as I'd like.  Well, I'll do the best that I can. I also want to add more articles on past goaltenders, as well as on goaltending technique and _style_. Also, this year I'm tracking not only NHL games for goaltneders, but AHL games - so if you want a game-by-game recap of your favourite prospect, check out his biography page.
