Hello, WARNING:  roadrunnersports.com automatically renews VIP memberships. In my case they charged my credit card without my permission or knowledge. Their response: Thank you for your reply.  The charge is for your VIP membership renewal.  As stated in your club handbook, this renewal is automatic.  We do this for the convenience of our members.  If we caught you by surprise, we apologize, as this was not our intention. Before any of you get too grateful for roadrunnersports.com helpfulness let me point out that when they send VIP members exclusive offers they send BETTER ones to NON VIP members. I know this because I receive special offers from them at two different e-mail addresses. For example to my VIP address they will send a 10% off  and on the same day they will send to the NON VIP address   15 or 20% off, or Free shipping with a $50 purchase to VIP members and Free shipping no minimum purchase to NON VIP members. In other words you don't get anything for your $18.95 a year unless you have second address to combine the REAL sale with your 10% VIP discount! Paula Thompson

Then I realized that after paying for the one year membership, you thought to just let it lapse at year's end

Hello, VIP membership DOES buy you something IF  you register a second e-mail address with roadrunnersports.com and don't mind dealing with an unethical company. You get 10% above the good sales they are sending out to non members. I MIGHT have renewed if they hadn't renewed my membership automatically even though I had at least twice written  them to remove my credit card information from their files! There should be a _link_ for VIP membership on their homepage (on the side or at the bottom) although I don't know because I still have a special VIP page after be asked to be taken off their list. For me, the Roadrunner.com has been pretty good.  I don't like the automatic renewal ... but, I feel sure if I didn't want it I could stop it ... and at worst I loose something less than $20.  I usually buy a lot of stuff twice and year and watch for what I will buy all year long.  I buy all practical stuff for Christmas presents ... stuff from Roadrunner, vitamins for those who take them, and I buy laundry detergent and food for my relatives so they don't have to go out in the winter to get it.  The Roadrunner sports is the only membership fee I pay ... beside my gym fee.  Roy
