I have had a few pairs of ASICS 11.5 DS, they are becoming harder to find, (for a cheap price) What is a comparable shoe to the DS. I like that they are light and mild pronator. They are a little lean on the cusioning but i like them. Is KAYANO or 2130 the best second choice for ASICS shoes. Noosa Asics shoes are very similar to the DS but a little different flat no arch support. [snip] I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the Speedstars, do they have the posting of the normal pronation shoes? If they do, then they might work well for you also. Nope, Speedstars (at least the IIs) have no medial post. Plus they're very flexible so probably not appropriate for someone looking for any kind of structure or control. I love mine but I'm a very neutral runner. They're very light for a trainer and surprisingly well-cushioned for how stripped-down they are.

yeah i think that the GT-2130 might be the go, they are 50 grams heavier than the DS.

So are the Speedstars to the Nimbus as the DS trainers are to the Kayano? Sort of a scaled down performance version? Thanks, Yes. Try the Mizuno Elixir. You should be able to get a good price and it's a similar shoe. Cheers,
