I recentky purchased a book on eating right for your blood type. I purchased the book for two reasons; I recently became a vegetarian and I am overweight. I am O+ blood type. The book says that my blood type should not be a vegetarian because O's need meat in their diet to get enough protien. It says that other sources of protien such as beans and eggs will not give us enough protien. It also says that to loose weight I need lean red meat in my diet. I would like some insight on this area so I know whether I should start eating meat again. hope to hear something back. Thanks. Absolutely right! As a type O, you are descended from the higher classes of society. For many generations, your ancestors ate the finest foods available. The correct diet for your genetic heritage would include generous portions of filet mignon, lobster, etc. If you were a type B, you would be a descendent of the working and craftsman class of society. An appropriate diet would be hamburgers, french fries, a basic meat-and-potatoes diet. If you were a type A, your genetic heritage would be from the lowest menial labor. An appropriate diet for you would be a vegetarian diet. A rice-and-beans diet would be ideal, supplemented with wilted vegetables and spoiled fruit. If you ate any meat products at all, lard would be the most gentle on your digestive system. Lard biscuits and lard pie crusts would be compatible with your system. Of course, if you're left-handed, all these recommendations must be interpreted as opposite. I.e., a left-handed type O should be eating a rice-and-beans diet, and a left-handed type A should be eating pate' and caviar. Hope this helps
