Johnny Weissmuller won 5 Olympic gold medals in swimming Sonja Henie: Olympic gold medals for skating in 1932 and 1936 Buster Crabbe: Men's 400m free_style_ swimming champion in 1932 Dolph Lundgren: captain of U.S. pentathlon team in 1996. Strother Martin was on the U.S. diving team in 1948. Dennis Weaver placed 6th in 1948 decathlon trials. Geena Davis was a semifinalist for the 2000 women's archery team. Please note, Geena Davis is the only one competing AFTER becoming a star. depending on whether you consider Dolph Ludgren a star Yes, I re-read the list and caught that. I question this (see below) but what the hell do I know. STAR??? yes. A good actor?

Please note, Geena Davis is the only one competing AFTER becoming a star. Good for her. Well, she competed in Olympic _Trials_. Johnny Weismuller DID get himself back into shape and was logging times competitive with his Olympic marks. Unfortunately the world had moved on and these times were not good enough, so he did not again compete.
