Guys I think that part of the problem with the discussion about Dr. Pimentel's is that people assume that we have to grow corn to have ethanol. This is not correct. We can use the leftover potatoes that they had to leave on the ground to rot this year because they could not find enough buyers. The same is true almost every year but with a different food. We can take that food and convert it to alcohol. We can also take waste food from schools, military _base_s, colleges, prisons, restaurants, etc and turn that into alcohol. We can take soft drinks that are left over at restaurants and turn that into alcohol. Remember it is mostly sugar. There is even a proposal to take sewage and convert part of that to alcohol for fuel. Everyone eat three Mars Bars a minute, and the Hubbert Peak ain't in it!
