My wife found a pair of glass compotes that we'd like to identify. They're about 6 high with golden colored bowl and _base_ but blue stems. One of them is marked with an S in a cicular wreath with two shields on it. Sinclair and Co. (1904-1928) Corning NY  Fine engraved and cut wares. {Farrar} (I guess that is a reference-greg) Sig.: acid etched Forgeries of various sizes and qualities exist Hope that helps. BTW the book is a decent addition to a library, but probably needs supplements in my opinion.  It has helped me I know. greg

Yes, Jon, there is a similar Kovel's book for glass marks.   There are also a couple of smaller ones booklets which I find very helpful, though I just can't remember the names here at work.  I'll look tonight, and post them tomorrow.
