Actually, the thing I thought that the N64 had that made it stand out over the PSX was its appeal as a party console. Plugging in the four controllers to the box itself without the need of an additional hooky-up-thingie, coupled with some easy to learn games like Mario Kart, Starfox, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros. And even the disturbing yet hilarious mini games on Pokemon Stadium were always a hit at the parties I went to, especially if all the p_layer_s had some adult beverages. I understand that the XBox will have 4 controller ports right in the box, but I dunno... I'm still leaning toward the gamecube as a second console. It's smaller, so less chance of spilling beer on it, and we won't be seeing any disturbing-yet-hilarious pokemon minigames on the XBox, far as I can tell. But to be fair, maybe MS will have their own disturbing-yet-hilarious minigames. Digimon, anybody?
