Ok. I don't know any games that are coming out on the cube but I expect it's the usual nintendo line up. Mario, zelda etc...... I mean I know the PS2 line up so far is pretty shitty, but at least the developers weren't rushing (OK except Namco) eh? A load of very cool Ps2 games are due for release. Will nintendo be able to handle this? Do they have good launch games that can deal with ALL ages? In all honesty, from what I've seen from Nintendo in the past there is little reason to spend all my cash on their console. The X box looks awful and I'm not even thinking about buying that but I'm still tempted to buy a Dreamcast as sega really don't get the credit they deserve. Is it true that the dreamcast is their last console? I know Sony have licences to all their good _title_s and microsoft have what's left but If anyone should stop making consoles it should be nintendo (in my view obv. before you all go crazy)

No way I will ever buy a Nintendo.  Nintendo is a good console for the 8-12 year old range, but not for anyone older.  I think the X-Box and PS2 will be engaged in a full-scale war a year from now.  EA will support the X-Box which means their sports franchise will support both the X-Box and PS2. Technically speaking, the X-Box is far more powerful and capable.  So I believe both consoles will support the EA franchise but the X-Box may have more features.  The games played on the X-Box look crappy, because the development of the games displayed was 50% done.  Give them time... Right now, I'm enjoying my PS2.  For Christmas, I'll be enjoying both the X-Box and PS2.

Let me add that all the games you listed either suck or fit into the 8-12 year old demographic. Duke Nukem is the exception and I think the PC version will be lite years ahead of the Nintendo version. PS2/X-Box combo baby!!

Actually, the thing I thought that the N64 had that made it stand out over the PSX was its appeal as a party console. Plugging in the four controllers to the box itself without the need of an additional hooky-up-thingie, coupled with some easy to learn games like Mario Kart, Starfox, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros. And even the disturbing yet hilarious mini games on Pokemon Stadium were always a hit at the parties I went to, especially if all the p_layer_s had some adult beverages. I understand that the XBox will have 4 controller ports right in the box, but I dunno... I'm still leaning toward the gamecube as a second console. It's smaller, so less chance of spilling beer on it, and we won't be seeing any disturbing-yet-hilarious pokemon minigames on the XBox, far as I can tell. But to be fair, maybe MS will have their own disturbing-yet-hilarious minigames. Digimon, anybody? -supaa-X
