Will be in Calif next week, and am spending a couple of days at Disneyland. But I'm kind of annoyed at the number of attractions that will be closed... Small World; Rocket Rods; Big Thunder Mtn; Columbia; Roger Rabbit (understandably); plus some smaller A and B tkt stuff. This at a time when most all hotels in Anaheim are SOLD OUT. Oh well, maybe they'll open the Eisner parking garage.

Oh well, maybe they'll open the Eisner parking garage.<<< Hey... There are NO a or b ticket attractions down. And won't be while you're here. Don't know where you got that. Small World will be down because they make it over for Small World Holiday at this time every year. Your timing is just bad. RocketRods is being overhauled because it just doesn't work for long without breaking down, and they're going to add new show scenes along the trackroute. It won't be back til Spring. The Columbia goes into maintenance a couple of times each year, but they'll still have the Mark Twain operating, so if it's a slow boring boat ride you want, with a lot of other people.... Fantasmic won't be performing, but most of the parades and other entertainment will be in full swing, and even when it IS going outside of summer, it's only on the weekends. Roger Rabbit COULD re-open if OSHA gets done with their stuff, and Big Thunder... well, it's scheduled for maintenance. After that, there is STILL a lot more to do than in WDW's Magic Kingdom... so smile, ride our superior Space Mountain, and enjoy the preview of DCA. Give him the sedagive. Arstogas

It is absolutely unforgivable for Thunder, Rocket Rods, Fantasmic and Small World to be down at the same time, all for scheduled stuff. Rods I understand (and I certainly understand Roger, thats bad luck on timing) but to close Thunder at the same time as the Small World conversion is silly, especialy knowing that Rods was going down.... Insane. Teevtee: attendance is not mandatory.

I'm assuming you were being sarcastic Artso, it's hard to tell.<< No, not really... there IS still more to do, attraction wise, with all that stuff closed, than there is at WDW's Magic Kingdom... The Canoes are a whole lot of fun (especially if you ride with me). Main Street still has Lincoln and Walt, not to mention the Mickey Cartoons, the various vehicles, etc. The train ride is more of an attraction at DL than at WDW. In Tomorrowland, there's still Star Tours, Space Mt, HISTA, the new version of Autopia, Matterhorn, and Innoventions (whose exterior got a little improvement a couple of weeks ago... looks much better) which is still neater than Epcot's in my book... Kids still mess with the big fountain in the plaza before Red Rockets. In Fantasyland, everything's working (and that's considerably more to choose from than Florida) except for Small World, and I WANT that closed so they can open the Holiday one on Nov. 3. Big Thunder's closed, but they're still doing Woody's Roundup and other shows at the Golden Horseshoe on and off, and Big Thunder BBQ is now serving lunch, a nice extra. The shooting gallery is offline because they're building the whole new restaurant between Frontierland and the hub... But Tom Sawyer's Island is operating, so is the Mark Twain, and the great canoes. There's entertainment here and there from time to time. Pirates and Mansion continue unabated. Country Bears are still going strong, as is Splash Mountain. Indy, Tarzan, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds are all online. And I've probably left something out. Last I checked, that's plenty to do, especially in the fall season with shorter hours and much smaller crowds... The Parades AND fireworks are also available, so... Give him the sedagive. Arstogas

No, not really... there IS still more to do, attraction wise, with all that stuff closed, than there is at WDW's Magic Kingdom..<<< Well the point is not which park has more to do (even though it is some what debatable), the point is that in a park that is soley dependant on that ONE PARK right now, it is crazy to have 4 major attractions down at once (Thunder, Rods, Roger, Small World) plus the construction if FL etc. etc. etc. plus the Columbia and so forth. I know it is slow season but stagger it a bit more... close Thunder AFTER Small World reopens or don't close it at all until after Rods is up. Teevtee: attendance is not mandatory.

it is crazy to have 4 major attractions down at once (Thunder, Rods, Roger, Small World) Add Fantasmic to the list. For the record, I've been to DL Calif, Paris and WDW...I know what each has to offer. I still think it's unforgiveable to have so many attractions closed. And I don't know about slow season, Teev...every, and I mean EVERY hotel room appears to be booked, and there are extended hours on Fri and Sat (8 am-midnight on Sat). I know that Saturdays are busy at DL, but this seems like it's going to be very busy .
