charter airlines Canada 3000 - Believe it or Believe it - NEW POST!

Hmm.............Canada 3000 ....Here's some fresh adventure! You'll just have to wait about a thousand years until this bunch figures out how to fly. No kidding, we refused to return home on them and spent some UAL points to get home. Our plane was mechanically sound and there were no problems with the engines or systems, however............... We got jammed up going to Sydney for 18 hours, stopping all across the Pacific (on the milk run - Honolulu, Nandi - Sydney) and had to beg for bottled water most of the trip. We knew we were in trouble when the flight attendant got her hair stuck in the door when closing it, seven hours in and the toilets ran out of water and the attendants were using tonic water every 15 minutes to help the logs go down. You had to raise your hand and make an appointment for the bathroom about two hours out of Sydney because they wanted those doing #1 to let it roll first in one bathroom and those doing number two had to use a separate bathroom, so as not to gross out those doing #1, pilot apologizes for the in-flight minor problems and then cuts in line to use the #1 facilities presumably to do #2 (pilot's privilege, ya know) and to top it all off. , the oven quit and we were all served luke-cold to cold wrinkled chicken, then came sorry..we are out of ice...the fridge is out as well as the oven , the movie was playing but the VCR was jumping horribly and had no '_frame_ adjustment'. Towards the end of the flight we saw the attendants filling the empty bottles with 'airplane on-board' water. Found out later the flight had come from Mexico just before we left the West Coast. Finally, one of the baggage holds is jammed closed and some passengers had to wait about 50 minutes for their luggage upon arrival. I learned a long time ago (1998).. As for all the posts from the stuttering reporters who post up the same story every week, do yourself and this newsgroup a giant favor......Why not try flying Canada 3000 again! Then you will have enough experience to post up some fresh whining..........It's there for the taking. Good Night Now! RFH

When I flew Canada 4000 to the lost city of Atlantis, the engines weren't strong enough to lift the plane completely, so they had about 20 passengers rowing from of the doors to help plane move as it slowly inched its way across the ocean at sea level. The weather was good, so at regular intervals, the pilots ordered the rowers to stop so other passengers could go for a swim. Some passengers had fishing lines and caught fresh salmon which was cooked fresh and served to the pax. All and all, it was a very plesaurable experience.

it's not bullshit though, just a helpful warning to ppl planning to fly with a crap airline. isn't that part of the benefit about this forum...ppl sharing experiences and warning so you get an honest answer instead of biased unreliable ones from airlines themselves? i don't get why so many ppl get upset at ppl posting about how shit Canada 3000 is, cos the ppl doing those postings are doing ppl a favour!

I think you'll find that C3000 has probably a better airline than many of the scheduled carriers around. The posters experiences on it were a) atypical and b) using scheduled carriers as a benchmark (with their much higher fares). btw, they are not 'shit'.They are a solid, very reliable charter carrier and have been so since the late 80's. If they're as bad as you say they are, they would have folded ages ago. Scotty
