While on long camping trips it's easy to catch a shower in a campground.  But I've always wondered what shower facilities are available for truck drivers, and how useable these are for non-truck drivers. If you have used showers intended primarily for truck drivers I'd like to hear your experiences, where they are typically located, the cost, cleanliness, convenience, availibility, and any other comments. Any travel plaza that has truck parking out back has showers. Thse are usually cleaned after each use, and the major chains are really clean. Go to the cashier in the main store to get a shower ticket. The cost is $5 to $6, and you and your spouse/girlfriend/boyfriend can use the same shower.  They have locked doors, and most have comodes also.  If you have a rig that has large fuel tanks, you can get free showers with so many gallons of fuel, usually 50 to 75 gallons.

Some Motels will let you use a shower for $5 if you get there before the maid cleans the room.
