Just thought I'd post a note about my upcoming surgery.  I have it scheduled for next month.  I have arthritis in many joints, but it's particularly bad in my right foot because of injuries sustained in an auto accident many years ago (compound fracture).  I've had prior surgeries to try to repair/stabilize the joints in my foot, but nothing ever really totally fixes it.  My last surgery was an ankle fusion.  Prior to that I wasn't able to walk at all.  With the fusion though, I was able to again do limited walking.  Unfortunately, I've been getting close to the point again where I wouldn't be able to walk on my foot again.  That's why I chose to go ahead with further surgery involving another fusion and realignments of bones which are out of place.  The surgeon doing it is very experienced with this type of surgery, so I'm hopeful of a good result.   Sandra

(neither of which I would want but I certainly wouldn't want to be awake for this sort of thing) You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Off to return some items bought last week - which means a trip to mall with the teen.  Irk.   I survived the last mall trip w/o a wheelchair but I suppose that means the treadmill workout is helping eh? Sandra, best of luck to you and I will miss your informative posts while you are having the surg done.  But now when you get home,  prop that foot up on a stool and put the key board up on your lap, ha ha.  That way you keep in touch.  LOL But don't post too much when you are on those pain pills, they can do funny things to the mind ha ha. Seriously,  I will say a prayer for you and keep you in my thoughts for a fast recovery... Janers
