get a free car buy a car, get a free gun!
This country is getting really depressing.  If they can't take away your right to own a gun, why take away the ammo.  I read something about CA not allowing home schooling anymore.  Right? People walking away from mortgages, property values falling, half the country doesn't like any of the candidates running for president, stock market falling,  gas going up, soldiers doing two and three tours in Iraq, corporations making money hand over fist, health care rising at an unprecented rate, ..... I don't care who is elected president, how can he/she turn all this around? Gee, guess I'll go get a big glass of wine and think about it all tomorrow. Dalin The bill I was referencing today passed the Public Safety (what a joke) Committee by a vote of 9/5/1.  Nine Dummycraps for, five Republicans against and one Dummycrap abstintion.  Two of the committee are Dummycraps from San Fransicko.  It now has to go to the Assembly then the State Senate.  Hopefully it will die along the way. http://www.max71.com/ KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Reuters) - A Missouri car dealer said on Thursday sales have soared at his auto and truck business since launching a promotion this week that promises buyers a free handgun or a $250 gas card with every purchase. Max Motors, a small Butler, Missouri dealership that has as its logo a grimacing cowboy wielding a pistol, has sold more than 30 cars and trucks in the last three days, far more than its normal volume. And owner Mark Muller credits his decision to start offering buyers their choice of a $250 gas card or a $250 credit at a gun shop. This thing has taken off. Sales have quadrupled, said Muller. The store sells both used and new vehicles including General Motors and Ford products. Every buyer so far except one guy from Canada and one old guy has elected to take the gun, Muller said. Muller recommends his customers select a Kel-Tec .380 pistol. It's a nice little handgun that fits in your pocket, he said. Muller said the promotion was inspired by Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, who is vying with Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic nominee for the presidential election in November. We did it because of Barack Obama. He said all those people in the Midwest, you've got to have compassion for them because they're clinging to their guns and their Bibles. I found that quite offensive. [...] I love it !  I wish someone in Californicate would do something like that.  The idiots in Sacratomato have just passed a bill out of committee on a 10-5 (Dummycrap/Republican) vote that will limit ligitimate gun owners and ammunition purchasers to 50 rounds per month and you have to be fingerprinted and have a background check done and fill out ridiculous paperwork each and every time and there will be no more mail or internet sales allowed.  These fucking Dummycraps are fast working to cause an uprising of the law abiding citizens.  They have to be the dumbest critters on the planet.  I guess I'll just have to start a smuggling business.  I can make it to Las Vegas or Arizona and back in a day. Jim That doesn't sound right Jim.  Are you sure?  I mean if you're a registered gun owner and can produce your gun license why would you be limited to 50 rounds and have to be fingerprinted every time?  David buys 500 rounds at once and only has to show his license.   Dalin DALIN! get it right! not everybody lives in a pseudo commie state and *MOST* of us need no license to own any gun whatsoever. the 2nd amendment guarantees that  but *some states*... maybe yours... are so commie they usurp the constitution. JD I don't mind though that NY has strict background checks and fingerprinting etc.  It helps guarantee that criminals and crazies can't buy a gun. Dalin NO, IT DOESN'T.  Just check the crime stats for New York and you will see that gun crime there is as high as anywhere else and in some cases, higher.  Gun control laws DO NOT WORK, period.  They only control the law abiding.  The criminals will get them through other than legal means and won't give a damn about those laws.  I just wish that the politicians, especially the liberal ones, would wake up to that fact. This is not the rantings of a gun nut, it is the absolute truth.  The proof of what I say is in the crime statistics across the country. Jim

Unfortunately, this state is run by Dummycraps whose only solution to the problem is to screw with the law abiding citizens.  They're too stupid to realize that the criminals will not give a damn about their stupid little laws.  It's nothing more than another, Hey, look at me. See what I did?  I helped take the ammunition away from gang members! It's nothing more than Democrat political grandstanding. If you would like to read the bill, type in AB2062 in your search engine.  I understand there may have been some amendments to this turkey but i don't know what they are.  Hopefully, it can be stalled until after the end of the month and will die naturally, or if the idiots manage to get it to a vote there will be enough Dummycraps with a grain of common sense to see that it is worthless legislation and will cost the state millions that they don't have. Jim Maybe it would be better if you DID have to have a license.  Then your fingerprints would be on record once.  Sorry, but seems to me the people in Calif. have always been a little crazy.   Dalin No, Californicate is a LOT crazy.  Why should I have to have a license to own what the Constitution guarantees me?  What in that document gives the government at any level the right to control that?  Does a license keep the guns out of the hands of criminals? (no) Does the license let the government politicians know just who has guns and where they are? (yes)  In this state you have to undergo a background check to purchase a gun (legally) but no license is required.  At the time of application to purchase you fill out a form and it is submitted to the state Department of Justice (?).  Once they have waved their magic wand over your application they let the dealer know and you are allowed, after the ten day waiting period, to pick up your gun.  Also in this screwed up state, you are on;y allowed to purchase one handgun every 31 days and then you have to go through the same 10 day bullshit.  I know it seems a silly scenario but in this state of fruits governed by nuts, if you wanted to buy a matched pair of pistols, say for a presentation or something, it would take you over FORTY days to get the pair and then in order to have the recipient receive them you'd have to go through the whole set of bullshit again.  When I won the two handguns at the Friends of the NRA banquet last year, it took me 53 days to get both guns.  That was because I had to resubmit the Data Record of Sale (DROS) for the second one twice because I didn't know that you had to wait thirty days to submit for the second gun even though you had won them at the same time.  It's frigging ridiculous.  If I could get the money together I'd get out of this state tomorrow. Jim Well, maybe you don't think it's fair or right, but with a license in this state you can buy as many guns as you wish, anytime you wish, and the license is good for life.  Oh I don't know, maybe they won't let you buy 50 at once, I don't know the gun laws here really well.  But once you have that license, I don't think there are any rules about how many or how much ammo.  I looked it up, there is no limit to the number of guns you can buy a month in NY. http://www.bradycampaign.org/legislation/state/ You need a license to fish, a license to drive, a license to marry, so I guess I'm not surprised or upset about a license to own a gun. Because once you get it you can carry concealed, buy all the ammo and guns you want.  You only pay for the license once too, there is no renewal. Dalin The crazy liberals in this state want to keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens.  Here you can only buy a gun once every 31 days, can only buy one at a time, have to submit the DROS paperwork for some government worker in Sacramento to bless every time you wish to purchase and, if this stupid bill passes the Assembly and Senate, will have to go through the same shit each time yo buy ammo.  Hell, I go through over 100 rounds every time I go to the range.  does this mean that I'll only be able to go out and shoot every other month?  Like hell it does. Concealed Carry permits are a whole different ball game.  You have to apply in the county you live in and, unlike most other states which are Shall Issue states, it up to the sheriff's discretion as to whether or not the permit will be issued.  They charge outrageous fees ($220) for initial issue and about half that each year to renew.  You also have to go through a CCW class concerning concealed carry laws and safety (no _object_ion there) which costs another $35 and $15  each year for a shorter renewal class.  When I called the sheriff's office today to schedule my interview, the lady said that they are booked up for the REST OF THE YEAR. That's just for San Bernardino County.  It would be interesting to see just how many people are now applying for CCW permits throughout California these days.  The place is getting really bad with the illegals and gang problems. There are laws against extortion but there is still extortion. There are laws against theft but there is still theft. There are laws against gun possession but people still have guns. Don't you dumass Second Amendment nuts EVER understand what an absolutely STUPID argument you are presenting?

Crazies can't buy a gun?  What about that crazy who shot up the college a few mnths ago - - just now tht is getting straightend out.  Virginia was it?  West Va.?   The only folks limited by gun laws are the sane and honest. Our city schools have had 160 gun incidents the past year.  Of course guns are illegal for underage teens. On the good guys side, a woman shot a house intruder to death .  He had a long rap sheet, including rape, and gun crimes. A man shot a carjacker to death  as he was jacking his car.  Man had the trunk open and had a gun in the trunk.  took cover behind a gas tank. Some Cover! AS I understand it, it is not the gasoline that flares up.  I have heard you can drop a lighted cig. in the liquid gas, and if there are no fumes, it won't explode or ignite.  It's the vapor that explodes.  That wasn't the kind of experiment I wanted to try at home, so it remains hearsay.  But  a couple of months ago, a car  ran into the gas pump tank, and it exploded into fire. (Don't think the underground tank itself exploded. Seemed to be the pump )   We have all sorts of excitement here, because everybody knows they have to be armed.  I dunno where the criminals get theirs, but it tain't legal.  The bad guys all have guns and plenty of ammo.   It's just like the wild west.  Except that no one is allowed to  fire at them when they start to run away. Wish they would arm cops  with auxiliaary paint ball guns and let 'em shoot.  It would shorten a lot of  trials.methinks.  blake
