I've been reading some of the old fanfiction, and in a few of them the meanings of some of the characters names are important, particularly Ranma's name meaning Wild Horse. I was wondering about other names and if they meant anything important. Could someone tell me the meanings of some other japanese names? (I'm not a guide here, just rough knowledge) Genma - dark horse Nodoka - calm, peaceful. Saotome - rice-gathering girl, Ryuu - dragon Ryouga - Nice teeth (paraphrase) Hibiki - echo Kuno - nine skills Kodachi - small sword Tatewaki - carrying a sword There are others, but it's late at night and I'm bored. Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken: In Fire Imperial Sweet Chestnut Fist. No Richard, it doesn't really sound like cash. I never said it DID! I saw it spelt Katchuu - which implies a stop before the 'ch' sound; Kah-Chew not Ka-shoo Are you Richard Lawson? Fanfic (TIL) reference.
