My current MildPeeve: My appetite is starting to grow exponentially and when people hear how much I eat, Wow! It must be a boy!  Why can't it be a hungry girl? Is *that* a wives' tale that anyone has heard? That more hunger = boy? I've had similar sexist comments - I tell people the baby's kicking a lot and they say it must be boy. Why not a strong active girl? Or maybe it is another wive's tale? Anyone know? Tammy.

Now her son hates chocolate. He is 23 and has hated chocolate all his life.  His mom swears it is because she over dosed on chocolate. My mother craved tomatoes when she was carrying my brother, and he hates them! My mom craved Licorice Allsorts and to this day they are one of my favourite!  On the other hand, I ate a lot of French Toast when I was expecting my son and he hates the stuff. During my first pregnancy I could'nt stay away from chocolate and a friend of mine would tell me that she heard if you eat alot of chocolate during pregnancy then your baby will be colicy. My daughter was no worse than normal in her first few months. Loretta
