Josh ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) writes: : glass bottles are not the best for breast milk.  I can't find the source, : just that I have learned it awhile back as some of the nutrients adhere to : the glass. I have heard this assertion stated over and over with no evidence or citation to back it up.  Just from a common sense point of view I find it difficult to believe.  I will have to treat it as just another urban myth until I see some solid evidence that shows this is more than someone's imagination. I also wonder if plastic releases substances when heated; especially in a microwave.  for occasional feedings, I feel better with glass. ....Laura No bottle should be heated in the microwave especially breastmilk.  The microwaves causes hot spots which can severely burn a babies mouth.  Also, a microwave destroys all the components that make breastmilk so beneficial.  All bottles should be heated in hot water.
