We don't know for sure. (that doesn't mean that having to betray her wouldn't put him into a great moral dilemma...) See above. Especially if the mating results in a mental bond that will over shadow the one Tuvok has with his wife. Then it's more real and closer to home

But you know that Vulcans do not act on their affection towards even their mates. Refer back to Sarek and his wife Perrin. Even when he was losing his Vulcan composure, he never really told Perrin that he loved her. Picard had to do it, to which Perrin responded that she already knew. And it's how she must have known that is the secret to Vulcan affection. And THAT is what I call romantic!

else can fill for them on Voyager. Tuvok of Vulcan doesn't need much. He's a Vulcan, which by definition means he can endure anything several times as much as a human. They survive and prosper despite circumstances. I see it first manifesting itself by having Tuvok and Seven taking a table to themselves at dinner and having long talks. Playing that Vulcan game, Kalto(?), and just leaving it in the background of other stories until their story is ready. Well, I can see Seven beating Tuvok every match. I'm not sure she has an intellectual equal on the ship. But *if*, then it's Tuvok and not Harry Julianna

Well, I can see Seven beating Tuvok every match. I'm not sure she has an intellectual equal on the ship. But if, then it's Tuvok and not Harry You'd have to agree that a relationship cannot survive on intellectual equality. Besides, emotional compatibility can make up for intellecutal deficiencies.

Besides, emotional compatibility can make up for intellecutal deficiencies. But she's more emotionally compatible with Tuvok, since they both do have emotions, but have difficulties (or are unused to) expressing them! Julianna

But she's more emotionally compatible with Tuvok, since they both *do* have emotions, but have difficulties (or are unused to) expressing them! She's more emotionally compatible with the Voyager computer right now. That will change because she's human. We can't control emotions the way Vulcans can, despite the fact that Seven was raised by Borg. Don't believe me? Try to hold it in next time someone trashes Tuvok. Not that I would do such a thing, of course.
