As part of a - don't laugh please - course on The Economics of Sports , I have taken to reading a poem each Monday about sports. I have done the obvious ones, Casey at the Bat and _base_ball's Sad Lexicon ( Tinker to Evers to Chance ), and would appreciate any suggestions that others may have (please tell me the sources as well).I would not be averse to short examples of nice prose (Grantland Rice's classic piece on The Four Horsemen of Notre Dame comes to mind). Many thanks in advance.
