Ok, I got the game last night and played for a few hours.  Note, I didn't try everything out, I just tried some of the stuff out, and here are my findings: Graphics:  On the whole, I would say the graphics are excellent.  I think last year's p_layer_ models were a bit more detailed, but this year's ballparks and surroundings are more detailed, so I guess there's a trade- off to be had.  But on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, I would give this game a 7.5 or 8.  They maybe could have used a few more p_layer_ animations (for instance when p_layer_s strike out, they basically do one of 3 things, etc...) Audio:  The crowd noise, vendors get your hotdogs here , loud mouth fans, the umpire, and the stadium announcer and stadium organ, are all incredibly good.  The play-by-play announcer is average (maybe a bit above average).   However, he is repetitive in what he says about stikes. Gameplay Control:  Excellent.  Again, it could have used a little more polish (ie, when the second _base_man or pitcher get the ball and are close to first, they go into a big wind-up to throw it to first...kind of looks funny, but it works none the less).  I'm sure they'll touch up next years version. I was worried the first game I played on rookie level and it was way easy, as the CPU when pitching used the pitching cursor, so you always knew where the ball was going.  It seems that when you up the level one notch, the CPU pitching cursor goes away, and I think if you up the level yet another notch the strike zone box goes away, so THANKS SEGA for answering my prayers!!! For the life of me, I could not figure out how to switch cammera angles...there supposidly is at least one additional cammera angle (kind of like you are sitting behind home plate just about the first row of the upper deck.  Anyway, in the manual it says that camera angles are under Team Options.  Well, first, you can only get to Team Options, when you are pitching.  And second, the only two options I have under Team Options are Substitutions and Rosters...I see nothing about changing cammera angles.   If someone out there has figured it out...please share I did not try the franchise, season, playoff, or online mode.  I only tried the quick start, exibition, and homerun durby (which by the way, the homerun durby is kind of junk).  I also saw where before you start a game, you can pick a stadium, length of game innings, and set the weather (sunny, cloudy, or night).  I didn't see anything about rain, and maybe if you set it to cloudy it may rain...I don't know.  It would be cool if during the season mode that once in a while it would rain (I'll have to start a season). I created a p_layer_, it works...last years create a p_layer_ was better, I don't know why they went backwards here, as you think they would have at least offered as much...who knows...but I only need to create one p_layer_ KIRBY PUCKET anyway, so I'm ok with it, and I like that I can max out his skills right off the bat (pun intended). In general, I was worried about this game, as some of the negative posts in this group seemed to hit it pretty hard.  But after playing Triple Play, All Star _base_ball, and High Heat _base_ball on the PS2, I can easily say that World Series _base_ball 2k2 is head and sholders above the others in gameplay and audio, and at least on par (as good as the DC can do) when it comes to graphics. Well, I've gotta go, I hope this helps some of you.  I know I like this years version much better than last years version.  But, I'm keeping last years version anyway, because they are very different to play. GAME ON!
