parent is to PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN. Any fool who lets their children swim around on the surface before, during or after a feeding dive needs to have their ass kicked. Thats pure insanity. An adult has the right to tie a hundred pounds of bloody bonitas on them and swim with bulls, tigers or whatever species they desire. The sharks can drag them all the way to Cuba and if they survive the trip then more power to them. They made an adult decision for themselves to do this, so they deal with the consequences. I spend a whole lot of time in remote places around all different kinds of wild animals, several species of them dangerous. I have twin 5 year old sons who go with me to these remote places quite often. They have seen gators a big as our canoe, sharks, water moccasins etc. By my taking my children to these areas I have the responsability to bring them home in good repair. Thats my job as a parent. Bottom line. When my kids grow up, they will be able to make decisions to do things that might endanger themselves. Until then I'm gonna do my job and protect them. Ron White I've spent a whole lotta time in wilds of a different nature ... hockey arenas and ball diamonds where parents bring their budding Wayne Gretzkies and Mickey Mantles . Some of these parents are so desperate to help little Joey to gain recognition that they're willing to sacrifice his happiness, his education, and in some instances even his health for that recognition and fame. Having seen that, I wouldn't at all be surprised to hear that some parents would willingly let their own Little Joeys swim over a shark feed area just so they could brag on another of his derring-do exploits. Sick, but definitely possible. John
